Stress is a feeling everybody feels and goes through, many say that failure to express emotions is one of the main factors that causes stress. Consequences of bottling emotions might even be detrimental to one's mental health and well-being in the long run.
Therefore, healthy stress management methods such as expression of both positive and negative emotions should be introduced starting from a young age.
Hence, this storybook aims to educate and introduce appropriate methods of expressing emotions among children. Derived from the idiom “I have too much on my plate”, which is defined as having a great deal to cope with.
The story talks about the little things in life that might be stressful for children and how stress comes in different ways. Everyone has their own way of coping with stress and having too many things going on in life might be overwhelming. Through metaphorical storytelling and visuals this story hopes to bring light towards topics that are usually heavy or complex for children to understand in a more light hearted, fun and engaging way.

Growing up watching the romance genre, the expectations of a “Happily Ever After” are always linked to finding love or being in a relationship. However, as we grow, we are faced with the harsh fact of reality that whatever we see in the media might not actually come true. Hence, it shows how much of an influence the media has on the expectation we have on singlehood & relationships.
Characters in the romance media play a huge role in influencing our expectation of a “relationship”. Thus, the overall prospect of the project is to let the viewers know which characters in the romance media tend to be more influential to them. Hoping to bring light towards the audience on what exactly shapes and influences their expectation, feelings and many more on being single or in a relationship.
This fun and interactive installation aims to educate and provoke viewers on the hidden perspective of the media. By doing it through the characters that they love & adore, it might wake up their consciousness on the topic and start reflecting on their own experience with media characters.
