Fam. Workshop

Families should be bound together whether they came from the same blood or not. Fam, the slang word for family, is a workshop inspired by one of the COVID-19 issues in which families frequently face different types of stress, hence affecting their relationships.

During the COVID-19, there are cases where problems happen frequently in families due to working from homes such as being stressed to the point where suicide is committed or being murdered by their own family members or loved ones.

This also happens when the family lacks communication. Therefore, they need a person to guide them to the right path in order to overcome their issues.

The workshop aims to help re-bond relationships between family members by knowing the main issues from psychologists and enjoying activities through VR or treasure hunting applications that are inspired by the Geocaching apps.

Families can download the apps and use GPS to track the treasure. Each treasure contains a puzzle where families can brainstorm and work together to solve them.

The concept of this project is to express the harmony in a family with the elements of a family tree since they share similar meanings behind them that go well together.

The family tree roots represent us; branches represent growth. Each family member is unique and different in their own personal development. Hence, they should be tolerant of each other.

The Last Bite
Experience Center

SDG12 is about the process on how we manage the usage of natural resources and can be used in beneficial ways which can have advantages between society and the environment.

The food waste issue is a problem that people will still be concerned about even from earlier centuries. There is news stating that lots of food were wasted before or during the pandemic period.

For finding a beneficial way through the food waste and production process, also letting people aware about the prevention. The Last Bite had been inspired to be an experience centre that collaborates with MAEKO company to create awareness about food waste issues to the public. The centre lets the public awareness about food waste by using the process of food production with different activities.

The concept was inspired by SDG12 which aims to reach the efficient use of natural resources. Currently, we are still wasting natural resources and it may cause a lack of resources in the future so we need to think of other options to avoid this from happening and to achieve sustainable natural resources.

This is like a turning point — the last step we need to achieve before closing the loop. People tend to think that food waste is just rubbish when it could be another meal equal to the last bite of their food.
