Sensory Playspace and Research Center
In Malaysia, the current status of playgrounds amount of inclusive playgrounds that allow disabled kids to enter is less. The current status of the existing playground is not inclusive to disabled children and the accommodates does not reach the physical needs of the disabled children.
Playing in the playground is one of the important experiences in our childhood life because it is a great space for children to explore more in their surroundings. While for the visually impaired kids, they are facing the hardest challenges when they want to play in the playground due to their vision problems. It is hard for them to run around and explore surroundings freely like others kids in the normal playground.
This project is focused on designing a play space for visually impaired kids which can give more opportunities for them to enjoy playing in the playground with other kids.
The playground will be designed with a tactile and sound sensory play structure which will be more comfortable for visually impaired kids to enjoy.
Other than play space, a research centre is included which invites more observers and research to come and observe the visually impaired kids in the centre, in order to create a new design that is suitable and comfortable for visually impaired kids to play or use.
Spinning Gear Sport Club
This project is focusing on the physical health issue among the students in college. Nowadays, a lot of students are suffering from back pain and shoulder pain. This is because most of them are sitting on chairs for a long time and in an incorrect position.
Not only this, a lot of them are too focused on rushing assignments and forgot to have a sport to relax. These issues will cause them to suffer from being overweight, poor concentration and also hip pain issues.
According to the research, to solve or prevent suffering from these effects, sports that can help students to relax their mind, body and also muscles are more suitable for them.
A Spinning Gear Sport Club is designed in the INTI 3R building which includes different types of sports that can help students to relax their minds and body.
The building is designed in a different environment compared to the surroundings which aim to encourage students to come to have sports and also temporarily forget their assignment while entering the sports club.
